Arsopi-Thermal was founded in 1980 and began operation in 1992 at its head office and manufacturing premises located in Codal,Vale de Cambra in the district of Aveiro.

Our capital is held in entirety by Arsopi- Indústrias Metalúrgicas Arlindo Soares Pinho S.A.. We, alongside other activities, commercialize plate heat exchangers imported from the multinational Japanese company, Hisaka Works, which is the world’s third largest producer of this genre of equipment.

The decision to invest in a company manufacturing plate heat exchangers from the roots up emerged from a combination of various factors as highlighted below;

•    The fact that Arsopi S.A had great knowledge of the market
•    Heat plate exchangers are applied in diverse industrial areas for which Arsopi S.A already manufactured equipment
•    The company prided itself on having executives and managers with extensive experience and motivation for this challenge.

From the onset the development strategy of Arsopi-Thermal has always been in the forefront of technology through close cooperation with Hisaka works. This in turn has ensured a constant updating of products, knowledge and technical support thus allowing us to excel in manufacturing quality and operation of our plate heat exchangers.

Arsopi-Thermal quickly came to occupy a prominent position in the national market and at the same time sought to achieve a prominent place internationally.


The accreditation of NP EN ISO 9001:1995 was awarded in March 2001 by LRQA.

The transition to NP EN ISO 9001:2000 was carried out in July 2003

In December 2005, a ARSOPI-THERMAL, Equipamentos Térmicos Lda changed its legal constitution from a limited company to that of a public limited company It consequently gained the  new designation of ARSOPI-THERMAL, Equipamentos Térmicos, S.A.

In September 2006 the board changed the organization of the company by taking on a General Manager.

As we are aware that the ratio of productivity and operational efficiency is important to our customers, Arsopi-Thermal also expanded its activity to  include technical assistance.

We therefore have, at your disposal, specialized technicians to carry out assistance on plate heat exchangers of ANY MODEL, either on our premises or yours.
